Opal Card

Opal Cards are transit cards used by the Sydney Transit System. They can be used on the Government operated Ferries, Trains to the Suburbs and on the Light Rail system.

The Light Rail system that connects Sydney’s Central Business District with the rest of

Sydney’s urban core is extremely efficient. The trains, not to be confused with the Light Rail, service Sydney’s inland suburbs like Parramatta or Lidcombe. The government

operated ferries provide cross harbor service to citizens who live across the Sydney Harbor. They also provide excellent views of the city and Opera House.
